About Yogfit By Apurva (YFA)

A Modern Yoga Practice Rooted in Tradition and Experience

YogFit by Apurva (YFA) is a yoga-led practice space built on the belief that consistent, thoughtful practice can change how we move, live, and relate to ourselves. Rooted in traditional yoga and informed by modern understanding of the body, YFA offers a structured yet adaptable approach to practice — one that supports strength, mobility, breath, awareness, and inner balance.

Founded by Apurva Tilwani, YFA blends traditional yogic principles with modern understanding of movement and the body. The practice is designed to support strength, mobility, alignment, breath awareness, and mental clarity in a way that feels sustainable and relevant to modern life.

Our approach is simple:

❖ Train with awareness and correct alignment
❖ Progress steadily, not forcefully
❖ Build consistency through intelligent practice

Because real change comes from what you can sustain.

What We Believe

At YFA, we believe that in the world we live in today, caring for the body is essential to caring for the mind.

Modern life places constant physical, mental, and emotional demands on us. Yoga and intelligent movement help create the strength, stability, and awareness needed to meet these demands — not by pushing harder, but by moving with understanding and presence.

Our practice is designed to help you feel capable in your body, clear in your mind, and more connected to yourself. When the body moves well and the breath flows freely, daily life becomes easier — allowing you to show up with more attention, balance, and enjoyment.

At YFA, yoga and fitness work together to support not just physical health, but a way of living that is more conscious, resilient, and fulfilling.

Founder & Lead Instructor

Apurva Tilwani

Apurva Tilwani is the founder of YogFit by Apurva (YFA). She did not come from a traditional yoga or fitness background. Her journey with movement began during her college years at Miranda House, University of Delhi (B.A. Hons. Economics, 2018–2021), where she was an active member of TANZ, the western dance society.

In 2020, during the pandemic, Apurva began an intense period of self-practice in Bhopal, training daily in yoga, dance, and calisthenics through independent study and consistent experimentation. This phase shaped her understanding of the body, discipline, and sustainable practice.

In 2022, she completed her formal yoga certification in Rishikesh (AYM, Indian Yoga Association) and began teaching professionally. Over time, her teaching evolved into a structured, yoga-led method that integrates strength, mobility, and awareness.

In 2024, she founded YFA, building a growing community and training instructors under her guidance, all aligned with the same method and teaching standards.

Meet our Instructors

Train with Apurva, Founder of YogFit by Apurva, and a team of Certified YFA instructors personally trained and guided by her. Every class follows The YFA Method — ensuring consistency, depth, and thoughtful guidance across all sessions.

Shikha

Shikha comes from a strong background in gymnastics and Mallakhamb, with training at national and international camps. She returned to movement through yoga in 2021 and later completed her 200 hour teacher training from The Yoga Institute, Mumbai. She now teaches full time and is passionate about guiding students through mindful movement and daily practice with care and gratitude.

Lokesh

Lokesh has been practicing movement and self training for over seven years. His approach blends yoga, calisthenics, animal movement, and modern training methods to build a strong, flexible, and mobile body. He believes yoga is a way of living, not just a one hour practice. In his sessions, he creates an environment where students learn through awareness, movement, and self discovery.

Priyanshi

Priyanshi is a 500 hour certified yoga teacher trained across India and the US. She teaches yoga for people with busy lives who need a practice that supports both body and mind. Her classes focus on alignment, awareness, breathwork, and practical movement that helps in daily life. She creates warm, structured sessions that help students build strength, clarity, and long term consistency.

Each instructor is trained in:

◉⇛ Postural awareness and alignment

◉⇛ Breath–movement coordination

◉⇛ Progressive sequencing from beginner to intermediate levels

◉⇛ Safe and thoughtful movement modifications

So no matter who leads your class, you experience the same clarity, consistency, and teaching standards that define the YFA Method.
